Hey there friends! Long time no see! It’s been a really fantastic and also very short summer! My family had the best time and I was so sad to see it go by so fast. My boys are 10 and 12 this year, and they’re just so fun and full of energy! It sure kept me very busy, which is why I haven’t been able to have an update until now! I’m just getting back into the swing of things here in the studio and can’t wait to show you what I have been planning!

First, some announcements:
⭐️ I already shared this in my stories, but I’d like to formally announce that for a short time, I will be writing less poetry! The reason being that I have written a LOT over the last few years. I have shared a lot as well, but I also have so many written things that I have not shared with you… I have been saying for the last year (or longer) that I would be publishing a book… and aside from having even more poetry and a full draft… I’m still nowhere near fully being able to publish it. My art is my only income… so of course I still have to make sculptures to sell so I can pay my bills and also feed my kids…. But instead of using my spare time to write new poetry, I want to use that time to fully dedicate myself to my book. So I will be making some sculptures for a while without poetry.. I am hoping this will be temporary but please understand, the characters and scenes in my world (including my book) are all hand sculpted… which means this entire project is going to take me lots of time anyway…. I am just hoping that by fully dedicating my time to this project, it will make it so much faster!
I had also been going back and forth on if I would prefer to self publish or find an agent and I’m still not locked in on a decision. If you’re reading this and have advice, PLEASE respond to this email and let me know your experience! I would greatly appreciate it!!

🌹 A message for Facebook subscribers:
⭐️ Lastly, I hope this doesn’t upset anyone… but I have decided that while my subscriptions tier on facebook is still small (currently less than 10 subscribers), that I am going to close this adventure. It’s wild to me, because I really looked forward to reaching 10k followers, so I could have subscribers “like all the big artists do”… but now that I am here on 2 platforms now…. I have just decided that it’s too much for me to fully commit to. I thoroughly enjoy the peace and calm I have here and being able to be flexible when I have updates and make posts, simply because of my busy home life.. my boys are at a busy age and they’re both in sports… lots of sports… and while life is good… its just so so busy and I don’t want to feel the pangs of guilt like I owe someone content, when I already struggle with being social…
This is something that I really struggled with internally, so after thinking long and hard all summer about this… I just feel it’s the best decision. I also felt very salesly when I shared blogs and updates and that’s just not the feeling I want to have for anyone. I am a human, not a business and I want everyone to feel welcome, loved and equal!
From now on, all art will be available at the same time to everyone and all content that I share will be shared for everyone to enjoy! I put so much time into what I do and I just want everyone to be able to enjoy it! I hope you can understand and thank you so so much to everyone who subscribed to me while you did! <3
